What's your favourite day at the weekend?

I like Saturday the best, because on Sunday I have to do my homework, but Saturday I’m all free to do things I like.

What do you usually eat for lunch at the weekend?

For lunch I usually have some rice with some cooked meat and vegetables with my family.

Where are you going next weekend?

I’m not going anywhere next weekend. I’ll just stay in my home and get my homework done.

What do people in your family enjoy doing at the weekend?

At the weekend, we all enjoy watching TV together, and sometimes we go shopping together.

What did you do during the weekend?

Well last weekend I went to the park with my family. I played with other kids at the playground there.

What was the weather like?

It was mostly sunny, with a little bit of cloud in the sky, but it was a little windy too.

What did you enjoy most about the weekend?

What I enjoyed most about my weekend was playing with other kids at the playground.We didn’t want to leave when our parents were leaving.

Now please tell me something about a weekend you enjoyed.

Oh, let me think… recently I went to a nearby city with my family and we stayed there for the weekend. We went to a river in that city and took a lot of pictures. We were staying at a holiday rental apartment, and it was very comfortable.

Where do you study English?

I have English lessons at school, and I also have an extra English class afterschool.

What languages can you learn at school?

At our school, you can learn Chinese and English. We don’t have other languageclasses.

How often do you speak English?

Not very often. I practice speaking English in my English lessons, and sometimeswhen I travel, I get to speak a little too.

What is easy for you about learning a new

language?

I find speaking pretty easy, but it’s not easy to read and write.

Do you use a computer to learn a new language?

Yes, I do. I use my computer to read and watch things in English. Once a week I have English lessons online too.

Do you practise speaking a new language with friends?

Not really. All my friends speak Chinese to each other. (It’ll be a little strange to speak English to them.)

Is watching films a good way to learn a new

language?

I think so. But you need to watch them without words in your own language on the screen.

Now please tell me something about good ways for you to learn a new language.

Well, for me, going to English lessons has been the most useful to improve my English. I also do a lot of reading in English in my free time. This is also very helpful because I can learn many new words from things I read. Sometimes Ilisten to my favourite pop songs in English too, which can helpme with my pronunciation.

How often do you go to the cinema?

I go to the cinema every month.

Who do you usually watch films with?

I usually watch films with my family. Sometimes I go with friends.

What kind of films do you like?

I love most of Disney’s animated films. My favorite movie is Jianqiaokaoji, which is recommended by my teacher Mr Zhao.

Where do you enjoy watching films?

I enjoy watching films in a movie theatre (cinema) because the screen is really big and sounds are great too.

Do you enjoy watching films at home?

Yes,I do. I love watching a good film on our big screen TV with my family.

OK. About two weeks ago, I saw a film at home with my best friend Paul. It was ananimated film, and I think it’s calledQingguo 2. I liked it very much but Paul thought it was a little boring. There were no real actors in the film because it’s animated. I’d watch it again if I have time.
