盘点六大洲的第一大城市

Defining the world’s largest city by land area is difficult as many cities are always growing. However, New York is often estimated to be the largest city in the world by land area, with a total of 8,683 square kilometers. Other big cities include Tokyo, Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia. Though some occupy a large geographical area, the population is small while others with a smaller geographical coverage are densely populated.

因为许多城市一直在发展，所以要用陆地面积来界定哪个是世界上最大的城市是很困难的。

然而，纽约通常被认为是世界上陆地面积最大的城市，总面积为8683平方公里。其他大城市包括东京、芝加哥、亚特兰大和费城。虽然有些地方地理面积大，但人口少，而有些地方地理覆盖面小，人口密集。

It is clean, tidy, beautiful and of course, modern.

The criminality in Tokyo is insignificant.

Many cities in the world are smaller, but much more dangerous.

Today the citizens of Tokyo are considered to be the most stylish people in the world.

It is one of the three most important financial centers in the planet, together by London and New York.

拥有三千万人口的日本首都是当今世界上最大的城市。
它干净、整洁、美丽，当然还有现代气息。
东京的犯罪行为微不足道。
世界上的许多城市更小，但更危险。
今天，东京人被认为是世界上最时尚的人。
它是地球上三个最重要的金融中心之一，与伦敦和纽约并列。

欧洲第一大城市：伦敦

伦敦是英国的首都，是英国第一大城市和第一大港，也是欧洲最大的都会区之一和世界三大金融中心之一。

自18世纪以来，伦敦一直是世界上最重要的政治、经济、文化、艺术和娱乐中心。英国四季都比较潮湿，因此有“雾都”的称号。伦敦是全国的政治中心，是英国王室、 政府、议会以及各级政党总部所在地。白金汉宫坐落于西伦敦的中心区域，是英国重大国事活动的场所。

London is the capital of the United Kingdom, the largest city and the largest port in the United Kingdom, one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe and one of the three major financial centers in the world. 

Since the 18th century, London has been the world's most important center of politics, economy, culture, arts and entertainment. 

The wetter parts of the year give Britain the nickname "The City Of Fog". London is the political center of the country. It is home to the British royal family, the government, parliament and the headquarters of all political parties. Located in the heart of West London, Buckingham Palace is the site of major British state events.

非洲第一大城市：开罗

开罗是埃及的首都，位于尼罗河三角洲顶点以南约14KM处，它不仅是非洲最大的城市，也是世界上最古老的城市之一，也是中东政治活动的中心。

Cairo is the capital of Egypt, located about 14KM south of the apex of the Nile Delta. It is not only the largest city in Africa, but also one of the oldest cities in the world and the center of political activities in the Middle East.

开罗是一座极富吸引力的文明古都，现代文明与古老传统并存，这里有著名的市中心广场--解放广场，是当地人集会和游行的场所。著名的金字塔位于吉萨区。

Cairo is an amazing ancient capital of civilization, where modern civilization and ancient traditions coexist. There is a famous central square, Tahrir Square, where local people gather and march. The famous pyramids are located in the Giza district.

北美洲第一大城市：纽约

This is the world financial capital.

It is a symbol of the American dream.

There is no another city which has served as a décor of so many films, music videos and commercials.

New York is the city that never sleeps.

On the streets of New York there are crowds of people even in the wee hours of the morning.

On the streets you can here hundreds of languages, although English is official.

这里是世界金融之都。

This is the biggest city in South America.

It has population of 17 900 000 people.

It is not only the most populated, but also the most important financial center on the continent.

It is situated on wide plateau in the southern part of the country.

这是南美洲最大的城市。

The streets of Sao Paolo are legendary with their traffic jams.

Because of this reason the well-off citizens prefer to travel by helicopter because to avoid the traffic jams.

The biggest part of the skyscrapers are constructed to have a landing place on the roof.

As the capital of New South Wales and the largest city in Australia, Sydney is the political, financial, shipping and tourism center of Australia and a world-famous international metropolis.

悉尼拥有全球最秀丽的风景线，被誉为“全球最美丽的城市之一”。

With the most beautiful scenery in the world, Sydney is known as "one of the most beautiful cities in the world".

悉尼的气候极其宜人，被评为全球最适合人类居住的城市之一，拥有全世界最高生活水准，当然也是全球物价最昂贵的城市之一。

Sydney has an extremely pleasant climate and is rated as one of the best cities in the world for people to live in. It has the highest standard of living in the world and is certainly one of the most expensive cities in the world.
