Everybody clapped when I walked onto the stage. I took a deep breath and looked at the audience, trying to steady my nerves. I held the microphone, feeling the weight of it in my hands. I was about to sing at the school talent show.
I started singing and the room fell silent. I had practiced every day after school for weeks, and it was finally paying off. I was singing my favourite song, a song that always made me happy.
As the last note faded, there was a pause. Then, the clapping started, louder and more enthusiastic than before. My heart was pounding, but I felt a rush of joy. I did it! I faced my fears, sang my heart out, and everyone loved it! I walked off the stage with the biggest smile on my face, proud of what I had achieved.
