Ashley’s Handmade Dinosaur

Ashley is different than most ten-year-olds. While most children play indoors on video games after school, she doesn't. Ashley loves adventure and enjoys climbing to her roof. Ashley always takes a blanket so she can lie down on it and a pillow to rest her head. Ashley reads on the roof. When it is time to watch the sunset, she stops reading and enjoys the sunset. There are days when Ashley sketches the landscape and sunsets. She is very creative and passionate about the arts.

At school, Mr. Bryant assigned cool science project that requires students to build their own modern-day dinosaur city based on the film Jurassic Park. Ashley likes art and got creative. She looked inside her father's garage and took a piece from a broken drawer. She grabbed the broken piece and found an old towel. After spraying and dyeing the towel green, she decided to glue it to the drawer so that it could be grassland for the dinosaurs. Unfortunately, what she thought was glue turned out to beshampoo. Ashley misread the label. It didn't glue the first time.

Later that day, Ashley had to find a different towel to spray-paint green and glue it around the drawer. In the meantime, she gathered plastic that was lying around in the trash can and got some scissors - using the plastic bottles and scissors to create trees, a river, and things for her project.

Once the plastic was glued, she looked for paint and a brush. That is when she began to bring her set to life, using bright colours to create a scenic landscape. The final step was to glue the dinosaurs unto the board and to write her name, the class, and our teacher's name. In the end, her brother had to help her bring the project downstairs because it was too heavy. Ashley placed second with science project at school due to her hardwork.
